The Municipality of Recoleta reported that on November 3, the Deputy Prosecutor of the High Complexity Prosecutor’s Office requested the Third Court of Guarantee of Santiago to close the investigation for alleged prevarication and incompatible negotiation of Mayor Daniel Jadue.

The Prosecutor’s Office requested a hearing to communicate the decision not to preserve in said case, because there would be no necessary precedents to found an accusation against the communal chief.

It should be noted that the claim was filed in 2017 by the company Bellavista Real Estate Development, to investigate possible acts contrary to the law and probity on the part of Daniel Jadue, and of all those who are responsible in the litigation generated by the decrees signed in recent years by the municipal administration, to demolish the second tower of the Bellavista Harmonic Complex, which currently does not have building permits.

The closure of this investigation reinforces the position of the defense of Mayor Jadue, who has always maintained the non-existence of the crimes under investigation and that after conducting a requested diligence, the case could be dismissed, which could occur after November 30 , the day the Third Court set a hearing to communicate the decision not to preserve in the investigation.

The mayor of Recoleta, Daniel Jadue, was satisfied with this decision and indicated that “the decision of the Prosecutor’s Office confirms that I have not committed any of the crimes charged and widely publicized by the company Desarrollo Inmobiliario Bellavista ”.

“This shows that our position against all types of corruption and the defense of neighborhoods is correct,” he closed.
