The Italian press looks at every detail of the protagonists of Calcio and especially of the coaches. It is the case of Antonio Conte, who expressed concepts this morning at a press conference, in the run-up to the clash between Inter and Fiorentina this Saturday.
The Nerazzurri coach expressed the joy that gives him the fact of joining Arturo vidal to the Lombard campus. With a smile on his face, he acknowledged that the Chilean “is fine and appeared in good physical condition.”
“I know him, but we are also doing different things compared to when we had been together (at Juventus). He has a great mentality, he can do everything: central midfielder, internal, hitch, enabler. We are happy to have him,” deepened the coach.
However, the answer he gave when consulted by another of Inter’s star midfielders, nothing less than Christian eriksen, who came from Tottenham in the middle of last season.
Conte was asked if the Dane could “represent added value” in the new campaign, but he deviated with the answer to the point that the press noticed a marked preference in favor of Vidal, with whom he will play a starting jersey.
“Everyone here can. From Christian to Lorenzo Pirola (18-year-old youth), everyone can add value and I am very happy to have these types of players, who are also excellent boys, “said the allenatore.
To sentence, Conte assured that “we will play 60 to 65 games this season, and everyone must give their contribution”; a marked difference that did not go unnoticed less than 24 hours after the official premiere in Serie A.
Vidal and Eriksen will start the dispute on the court for a shirt tomorrow, when Inter debuts against the Viola team at Giuseppe Meazza. In the previous season, the Danish played 26 games, with a balance of four goals and three assists.
