Media in India announced an emergency that occurred inside a hospital that cares for COVID-19 patients in the city of Dahisar, where an oxygen support machine caught fire while being occupied by a patient.
Fortunately, the quick action of health officials prevented people from being burned or injured to the body.
The video was shared by the Bombay Municipal Corporation and it is observed when a nurse attends to a person and, suddenly, she notices that the machine is on fire next to her.
After that, the professional removed the high-flow nasal cannula from the stretcher where the patient was located and called the other workers, who put out the flames with fire extinguishers.

As detailed by the aforementioned agency, that hospital has a state-of-the-art ICU to care for coronavirus patients, presenting a capacity of 100 beds.
“The managers and staff assigned to these centers have received training on disaster management and how to fight fires,” they indicated at the institution.
“Today’s employees set an example of how to act promptly in such incidents,” they added.
According to the ABC media, a similar emergency occurred last May in a hospital ward in Moscow, Russia. At that time, one person died and another 200 patients had to be evacuated to another room by an explosion.
Another event of these characteristics occurred in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, where a patient died and another 200 had to leave the ICU due to a fire.
