The life of the rich and famous that the ragman Chuky Indica led made the police suspicious, which targeted him and detained him in the last hours as part of a family clan that had long developed two parallel businesses: music and drug trafficking. And in fact, the young singer of the urban genre was the leader of two gangs – one from each category – made up of eight more people who had accumulated a fortune by selling drugs in different communes in the south of the capital.
Yesterday the nine people detained were formalized by the Investigative Police, who raided a plot in Melipilla and seized an expensive Ford Mustang that belonged to the group and, specifically, the ragpicker, who used it together with different weapons and high-end vehicles to show off the narco culture in music videos that had thousands of views on social networks.
The anti-narcotics prosecutor Yans Escobar investigated the clan and based on various technological means, surveillance and telephone interception, managed to establish that they operated mainly within Pedro Aguirre Cerda, Lo Espejo and La Florida. “They have a high firepower and a heritage that is not commensurate with the income that these people maintain,” said the prosecutor.
The video “Punto 40”, which refers to the bursts that are generated when the weapons fire, and “Lambada Guaracha”, which showed minors wearing jewels and guns, are two concrete expressions of the artistic manifestations of the main detainee. These records made it possible to confirm that the preferred profile of the group was to make themselves known through social networks.

The videos are of a professional nature and as leaders of the organization, Bryan Sebastian Olave Cabeza, 31 years old, and David Alejandro Cornejo Gómez, 27, known as “El Chuky”, who appears in the videos showing, for example, the power of fire from the weaponry used. Even an online sneaker store was his main artistic sponsor.
Due to these antecedents, yesterday they were formalized for drug trafficking, illicit association and violation of the arms law. “During yesterday’s procedure, around 2 kilos of different types of drugs, ammunition and firearms were seized,” the prosecutor explained.
The development of the police procedure was in four communes, La Florida, Melipilla, Pedro Aguirre Cerda and Lo Espejo where they had houses so as not to be detained at home or “warehouse”, as the house of Lo Espejo was known where it was stored and also drugs were trafficked.
As part of the investigation of “Operation Empire” the audiovisual production company that made the videos circulate on YouTube and that were realized with the millionaire profits from the sale of drugs in different neighborhoods.
