Last Friday, March 26, the payment of two important social benefits began to provide financial support to families affected by the pandemic.
It is the IFE Covid, which will reach 2,319,136 families, who were between January 25 and February 28, 2021 in quarantined or transitional communes, and the Covid Bonus, which will favor 201,218 households in the country for being, during this same period, in communes in preparation or Initial opening.
The process, which benefits about 6.6 million people in total, began last Friday, through transfers to the RUT Account of BancoEstado. In-person payments, meanwhile, began this Monday at the Los Héroes compensation fund and at BancoEstado branches.
The IFE Covid It is a contribution for families that, being below the established maximum income, meet any of the following requirements: belong to a household with at least one beneficiary of the sixth payment of the IFE and reside in communes in phase 1 and belong to 60% most vulnerable according to the RSH and reside in communes in phase 1 or 2.
On the other hand, the Covid Bonus It consists of a benefit that will be automatically received by households that have at least one member of the household who is the cause of the family allowance or user of the Security and Opportunities System and who reside in communes in phase 3 or 4.

How to apply for the benefit
The request will be made in www.ingresodeemergencia.cl, through an online form. Households that have already obtained the Emergency Family Income must apply now but without completing the information again.
In addition, those who want to check if they are beneficiaries can do so on the same website by entering RUT, date of birth, and document number (of the identity card) in the box located on the right “Check if you are a beneficiary.”
What are the amounts of the IFE COVID 2021
This new Emergency Family Income will have several variants that can be accessed according to the established requirements.
For example, for the payment of the February bond, the situation that the communes had in the Step by Step Plan between December 28, 2020 and January 31, 2021 will be considered.
IFE COVID Quarantine
Your amount will be up to $ 100,000 per family member that has been at least 28 days in Phase 1 (Quarantine) in the periods indicated; and it will be $ 80 thousand per member in communes that were between 14 and 27 days in this Phase.
The amount will decrease from the fifth member of the family group, with a ceiling for those households with up to 10 or more members ($ 759 thousand or $ 607 thousand, as applicable).
IFE COVID transition
The amount will be up to $ 40,000 per person in communes in Phase 2 (Transition) (or $ 160,000 for a 4-person household). The payment per member will decrease from the fifth, with a cap on households with 10 or more members ($ 303 thousand).
COVID Bonus Preparation and Initial Opening
This benefit is aimed at communes that have spent at least 14 days in Phase 3 (Preparation) or Phase 4 (Initial Opening). Its amount will be up to $ 25 thousand per family member (or $ 100,000 for a household of 4 people). The payment per member will decrease from the fifth, with a cap on households with up to 10 or more members ($ 250 thousand).
