University of Chile and Catholic University They did not go from 0-0 in a new edition of the University Classic, in a pending duel for the 21st date of the National Championship.
In a match that did not have many scoring chances at the National Stadium, both teams took a point that does not serve them much in their respective goals.
And a detail that did not go unnoticed in the game was the strange shirt worn by the referee team led by Roberto Tobar.
The four judges jumped onto the pitch wearing a red and black uniform, similar to the Newell’s Old Boys jersey, and which had a special motif.
The uniform was occupied to honor Diego Maradona, who died on November 25, two days before the original date of the University Classic, postponed due to UC’s participation in the Copa Sudamericana.
“Tribute to Diego Maradona” was read on the back of the referees’ shirt, alluding to the passing of ‘Pelusa’ by the cast of Rosario in 1993.
