Joker is one of the most important malware families out there and continually attacks Android devices.
Despite the knowledge of the existence and the way in which this particular malware operates, it still continues to find its way into the official Google application market thanks to uses changes to your code, execution methods, or payload recovery techniques.
This software espa It is designed to steal SMS messages, contact lists, and information from the device, as well as silently logging the victim for premium Wireless Application Protocol (WAP) services.
The research team Zscaler ThreatLabZ dedicates part of his work to constantly monitor this Joker malware and recently, they found regular uploads of it in the Google Play store.
Once notified in problem, he Google Android security team took immediate action to remove suspicious apps (listed below) from the store.
In Zscaler they managed to identify 17 different samples regularly uploaded to Google Play in September 2020.

After removing the infected apps from its Play Store, Google also disabled them on the devices, but users who downloaded them must still uninstall them manually in the settings.
