The Villa Alemana Guarantee Court formalized this Friday the accused of the rape and femicide of Ámbar Cornejo, Hugo Bustamante, and his partner and mother of the victim, Denisse Llanos, whom the Prosecutor’s Office accuses of parricide for his alleged participation in the crime.
Although initially it transpired that the hearing, which was held electronically in the Villa Alemana Guarantee Court, was only intended to specify the facts and crimes in question, it was finally known as a crime associated with the death of the 16-year-old teenager.
The defender of Children, Patricia muñoz, said that in the instance “charges have also been formalized for other acts against both defendants, which are related to the commission of sexual crimes regarding Ámbar’s brother“, 15 years old.
Muñoz added that “for reasons that are unknown, a brief has been leaked, it seems that of the complaint that I presented or the complaint that another body presented,” which led the court to establish the “prohibition to give details about the fact contained in the formalization”.
Prosecutor added new crimes to the accused
The chief prosecutor of Villa Alemana, Mary Joseph Bowen, detailed that “today the Prosecutor’s Office reformed the defendants Hugo Bustamante and Denisse Llanos and added new crimes contained in articles 363, 366 and 366 quater of the Penal Code that they are crimes of a sexual nature committed as perpetrators and in a completed stage“.
