House arrest for two accused of attacking the Peñalolén sub-police station

The Prosecutor’s Office began this Friday the formalization of the 11 detainees accused of participating in attacks carried out on the Peñalolén sub-police station.

To the supposed group, called “Antiyuta21“and which was allegedly organized through social networks, he is accused of carrying out various attacks against the police compound, considered one of the most affected in the country in the context of the crisis due to the social outbreak.

In the instance, the prosecutor Miguel Angel Orellana exhibited the judge Natacha Ruz images and videos of one of the attacks carried out, describing and identifying the actions of each of the members.

At this, the persecutor pointed to the intent to murder the subjects, so he indicated that “if this is not a previous concert to kill someone, it’s a very very powerful image“.

Regarding this accusation of attempted homicide, the judge asked the question of who are the victims of the attack, to which prosecutor Orellana replied that they are the occupants of a police vehicle that was shown in the images, among which one was left with a slight injury to one cheekbone, but nevertheless, no injury certificate.

The extensive formalization will continue this Saturday, due to the number of defendants, but at the hearing on Friday two of the eleven defendants were under total house arrest: Juan Pablo Valencia (37) and a minor.

The rest of the group remains in the Santiago 1 Prison and the Temporary Internment Center, due to the fact that there are other minors, awaiting the precautionary measures that should be discussed the next day.
