A new arson attack was registered this Thursday morning in the province of Arauco, after unknown they will burn the Hostería LanalhueThis is near the lake of the same name, the structure being destroyed due to the action of the flames.
Likewise, it was also affected by the fact the house of the caretaker of the compound.
Those responsible for the event arrived at the site of the event hooded and armed, threatening two people who were guarding the place.
In that sense, due to the attack they also saw damaged a truck, a shed and a tractor.
After carrying out the attack, those responsible fled, while law enforcement personnel found themselves with felled trees on the way to the event site, which prevented his arrival to the place for several minutes.
For his part, the prefect of Arauco, Colonel Cristian Martínez, condemned the incident, stating that “Fortunately there are no injured people”, adding that they are looking for those responsible for what happened.
Emblematic venue
The Lanalhue Inn was an emblematic place in the tourist history of the Arauco province. Located 7 kilometers from the P70 route, it was located on the southern shore of Lake Lanalhue, being for years one of the main tourist centers not only in that area, but also in the Bío Bío region.
It had 22 rooms, all overlooking the lake, while the last few years had been taken over by a community and its activity was limited.
For his part, the governor of Arauco, Óscar Muñoz, condemned what happened, stating that situations like this “They end up limiting free movement to people who go to their jobs, to their daily chores”.
Finally, the prosecutor on duty ordered that it be staff of the SIP and Labocar of the uniformed police who collect the first records of this new arson attack in the province of Arauco.
