Former coach of University of Chile, Hernán Caputto, revealed that he tried to convince Walter Montillo not to retire from professional football.
In conversation with DirecTV, the technician acknowledged the attempts he made to try to change his mind to the ‘squirrel’.
“I tried to convince Walter (Montillo) to continue at the U, I knew what he felt and could deliver for the club. Montillo is a true player and confirmed his principles ”, He said.
“I am a good friend of Walter, and my intention to bring him to the club was professional because I knew he would be a great contribution,” he added.
Note that Montillo retired on February 14, after the victory of the ‘U’ over Deportes Antofagasta 3-1.
“A player who always left everything for the colors he loves, I would have liked another final in the U”, he closed.
