Dismay provoked the death of a 24-year-old girl, after receiving a shotgun shot while he was inside his cabin on Manuel Montt de Valdivia street, in the Los Ríos region.
Prosecutor’s Office investigates the death of Tania Macarena Bustamante Díaz, while the victim’s partner is detained as the perpetrator of the femicide after confessing the facts.
The Radio, in conversation with a neighbor of the place, Sandra Franque, commented that before this no discussions were even heard between them, in addition to stating that “this is a residential neighborhood and something like this has never happened before.”
“It is unfortunate, one more woman in our country who is brutally murdered. This Sunday we heard some strange noises, like knocks, so I went to knock on the door of his cabin to see what was happening and no one answered ”the woman continued.
In addition, Sandra assured that they already suspected that something was happening, so “My mother went to talk to this man and told him to be careful in relation to possible episodes of abuse, because we were going to be attentive, ”said her former neighbor.
After this, the woman related how they lived the events, since as they were houses paired with the victim’s, they were able to hear many details.
He commented that at approximately 04:00 in the morning they felt a very loud noise, similar to a blow to the wall, at which point the alleged perpetrator comes out saying “Help, I killed her, I killed Tania” so the neighbors call the Carabineros and the whole operation takes place.
The couple involved worked in a sushi place. Separately, each had children of 3 or 4 years old who sometimes came to visit and stayed with them. The event caused obvious pain in some relatives and close friends who arrived at the scene, the body being transferred to the Legal Medical Service for the rigorous autopsy.
The death of Tania Bustamante Díaz is the second femicide in the region and number 33 in the country so far this year, as confirmed by the National Service for Women and Gender Equality in Los Ríos, which in addition to condemning the crime, activated its protocols of extreme violence.
