62 people were arrested this Saturday after they were surprised while broadcasting an online party on the occasion of the National Holidays in the Quillota commune, Valparaíso region.

The information was confirmed by the governor of the homonymous province, Iván Cisternas, who explained that among the participants were musical groups, cameramen and entertainers.

All of them – indicated Cisternas – were transferred to a police station by Carabineros and the military. The latter were in charge of guarding a neighboring health residence, from where the activity was reported due to annoying noise.

In this regard, the health seremi in the Valparaíso region, Francisco Álvarez, recalled that Quillota is one of the five communes in the area that continues to be quarantined and that it will continue under confinement until Monday at 05:00 hours.

Likewise, the health authority indicated that those responsible could pay a fine of 50 million pesos, after a health summary was opened for the facts described.

Meanwhile, Major Rolando Pinilla, administrative sub-prefect of the Marga Marga Prefecture, said that the participants will be summoned to the Quillota Local Prosecutor’s Office.
