The Seremi de Salud of the Aysén region opened a health investigation against the presidential candidate of Evópoli, Ignacio Briones, after an image of him was disseminated at a lunch in a restaurant in Coyhaique without respecting sanitary measures.
According to the head of the Department of Sanitary Action of the Seremi de Salud de Aysén, José Barria, a sanitary summary was started on each of the people who participated in the aforementioned lunch, the Emol portal reported.
The case originated after Briones made a tour of the area, after which he met for lunch with his collaborators in a restaurant in Coyhaique, with images that were disseminated through the social networks of those involved, specifically from the constituent candidate, Cinthya Pantanalli.
After knowing the news, the former Minister of Finance acknowledged having made a mistake by going to said lunch without respecting the sanitary measures in force.
“I start by making the apologies of the case and assuming the responsibilities and sanctions, if any, as corresponds to any citizen (…) The fault here is that although we were in an open space, a terrace, as required by law, We do not respect the distance from the tables that is required, which are 2 meters. That is the fault ”, explained Briones.
So far, Briones has not been notified about the sanitary summary, although he contacted the owner of the restaurant in question – “Rincón patagón” – to affirm that he would be responsible in case of any sanction for this incident.
