Gustavo Gatica case: the preventive prison is maintained for the former rabbi Claudio Crespo

The Justice decided to maintain the preventive detention measure against the former police officer Claudio Crespo, charged with the injuries against the young Gustavo Gatica, during the demonstrations of the social outbreak in November 2019.

This Thursday afternoon, Seventh Guarantee Court of Santiago rejected the request made by the defense of the Carabineros officer, confirming the preventive detention against the uniformed man.

Claudio Crespo was formalized as the author of unlawful coercion and extremely serious injuries against Gustavo Gatica, who lost his vision in both eyes during a demonstration in Santiago.
