Climate change activist Greta Thunberg expressed his support for Democratic candidate Joe Biden, urging environmentally concerned voters to make their voices heard in the US presidential election. The Swedish ecologist said on Twitter that “the next US elections are above all that”, referring to the possible differences that the Americans may have on other issues.

“From a climate perspective it’s a long way from being enough and many of you, of course, supported other candidates. But, I mean … you know … damn it! Just get organized and get everyone to vote for Biden,” he wrote.

Thunberg sparked a global climate protest movement after his strike in front of the Swedish parliament in 2018.

After Thunberg was named Time Magazine’s Person of the Year in 2019, US President Trump mocked the teenage activist and told her on Twitter that she had to “Work to solve your anger management problem and then go see a good old movie with a friend.”

Trump also sarcastically commented on Greta Thunberg’s speech at a United Nations climate summit last year, in which the activist denounced world leaders.spOr not having tackled climate change, with the now emblematic phrase: “How dare you?”
