Grandfather killed his grandson after hitting him with a tractor

A true tragedy was the one that was lived in Puerto Octay, where a 10-year-old boy died after being run over by the tractor his grandfather was driving.

According to the information provided by the Carabineros, the minor would have fallen from the vehicle and was later crushed by the machine, which was driven by his grandfather.

Daniel Alvarado, Chief Prosecutor of Río Negro, indicated to El Austral de Osorno that a quasi crime is being investigated and that expert reports were ordered to the SIAT de Carabineros de Osorno to establish the circumstances why the minor fell from the tractor, as well as whether the machine was in good condition and whether the accident was avoidable.

“There are two hypotheses, if the accident was unavoidable for the driver; or on the contrary, it was a negligent act of the tractor driver, so that his criminal figure would be a quasi crime,” said the persecutor.
