Government reports payment of the sixth IFE contribution to more than 8 million people | Economy

The Ministry of Social Development and Family reported on the initiation of the payment of the sixth contribution of the Family Emergency Income (IFE), highlighting that the benefit will reach 3,350,506 households, equivalent to 8,267,106 people.

“This is a monetary support that is part of the set of measures gathered in the Social Protection Network implemented by the government during the pandemic, to help households whose sources of income were affected by the socioeconomic effects of Covid-19” commented from Social Development.

Is about 55 thousand pesos per household member without formal income, in families of up to 4 members and that will automatically benefit all those who agreed to the previous contributions.

According to data from the Undersecretariat of Social Evaluation of the MDSF, most of the households that will receive this benefit correspond to households without formal income, equivalent to 61.4% of the total and 57.7% of the total number of people benefited with this contribution.

In addition, of those who will receive this sixth contribution, more than a third (36.8%) of households received the total payments of this benefit (six contributions), 32.5% five contributions and 15%, four of the six Payments. With this, 84.3% of those who are beneficiaries of the sixth payment received at least four contributions.

Likewise, 79.6% of the households benefiting from the sixth IFE contribution belong to the most vulnerable segment (from 0 to 40% most vulnerable) according to the Socioeconomic Qualification of the Social Registry of Households (RSH).

By regions

Regarding the regional distribution, of the households benefiting from the sixth contribution from the IFE, 35.3% belong to the Metropolitan Region, while the remaining 64.7% correspond to other regions, among which Valparaíso stands out. (10.6%), Biobío (9%) and Maule (7.4%).

The Government indicates that between the first and the sixth contribution, the increase in IFE household coverage reaches 168.79%. Thus the first payment of the IFE reached 1,246,514 households, the second to 2,347,107, the third to 2,849,087, the fourth to 3,090,567, the fifth to 3,265,016 and the sixth would reach 3,350,506, which which gives a total of 16,148,797 transfers in the payment process.

Payment schedule

Seeking to guarantee a safe transfer of resources to all beneficiaries, it was established that the payments of the sixth contribution of the IFE will be made according to the following calendar:

Appeals to Accepted Previous Contributions: October 29 – November 3
CuentaRUT transfers: From October 29 to November 4.
In-person payment at Caja Los Héroes and BancoEstado: from November 2 to November 23.
Deposit in accounts of other banks: November 4.
