The Government monitors the intense snowfall in sectors of Chiloé, in a phenomenon that was strongly felt in the communes of Dalcahue, Castro and Chonchi.
The Chilean Meteorological Directorate warned about the condition that accentuated during the afternoon and should continue into the early morning.
Faced with the accumulation of snow, mainly on the routes in the area, from the Government activated the respective protocols.
The governor of Chiloé, Fernando Bórquez, called on those who move along Route 5 south and the interior roads of the archipelago.
In addition, the provincial authority also maintained that in coordination with Onemi and Vialidad, they are ready to intervene the roads that are necessary to avoid traffic accidents.
Specifically, the main complications are registered in the sector Puacura and Mocopulli, on the route that connects Castro with Dalcahue.
