The Seremi de Salud de Magallanes confirmed a health summary against two families -with members positive for coronavirus- who tried to leave Punta Arenas by air.
This Wednesday was the evacuation of all the passengers who were inside the Presidente Carlos Ibáñez del Campo Airport of the city, after the fact already indicated is detected.
Given this, the Minister of Health (s), Eduardo Castillo, confirmed that a health investigation was initiated on these two families who they had to suspend their trip to the center of the country.
“In the first case, it was a family that upon arriving at the airport -to travel to the north of the country- declares that they received the results of their PCR tests, one of which was positive, against which they could not travel, and were referred to a health residence “explained the authority.
Along these lines, Castillo added that “meanwhile, in another situation that occurred in the same air terminal, another family with a member of them positive for coronavirus -and that should be fulfilling isolation-, tried to board a flight. A sanitary investigation was started and his return was ordered to comply with the established quarantine ”.
The Sanitary Authority highlighted the work carried out in the sanitary cordon by health personnel, as well as PDI officials, who prevented infected people and their close contacts from boarding commercial flights, while airlines did not suspend flights, generating a slight delay due to the sanitation of the air terminal.
