The minister of the General Secretariat of the Presidency (Segpres), Christian Monckeberg, delivered this Saturday a legislative balance of the year 2020, in which he assured that, as an Executive, in his fourth year they will have three focuses on reform: health, citizen security and pensions.
He stated that the latter will have special priority and they hope that January is a key month to achieve political progress and agreements on this matter.
“For the Government it is fundamental, the President has indicated it (…) There is no more time to wait to carry out the pension reform, and this month of January is decisive to reach consensus, political agreements that allow us to carry out this pension reform, “said the head of the Segpres.
Monckeberg recalled that this reform began “in December 2019 and January 2020, which allowed the improvement of pensions to more than one million people.”
Among the projects that will enter into management in 2021 are the gun control law, the modernization both the Carabineros and the Investigative Police (PDI), the drug trafficking control law and the computer crime law.
