“Thanks to the actions of the Carabineros and the police, we can say today that, despite the attempts of these violent sectors, the Metro network was protected, Transantiago buses were protected, critical infrastructure was protectedTherefore, the daily life of Chileans has not been and will not be altered by these violent groups that want to harm, harm and sow terror in citizens, “he emphasized.

At the same time, Pérez stressed that the burning of two churches in Santiago -of Carabineros and La Asunción- is “an act of brutality that we must strongly condemn.”
