Government advances curfew throughout Chile during National Holidays
Minister Paris indicated that the curfew will begin at 9:00 p.m. from Thursday 17 to Sunday 20 September.
The Undersecretary of Public Health, Paula Daza, announced that during the National Holidays the curfew will be brought forward as a preventive measure to avoid further infections during the celebrations.
As detailed by the health authority 24 hours, the restriction measure will be from 9:00 p.m.
Likewise, the Minister of Health, Enrique Paris, explained that overtaking will govern from Thursday September 17 and will run until Sunday 20 of the same month.
Faced with the permits announced for the celebration of the National Holidays, the undersecretary pointed out that “quarantines are not lifted”Instead, “they will be able to reunite with their family with special permission.”
In addition, he stressed that People who live in communes in the Quarantine or Transition phase must request a permit through the Virtual Police Station, while in the communes that are of Preparation onwards it will not be necessary.
This permit will last six hours and can be requested during the three days of the celebration.
Regarding the audits, he affirmed that they will be carried out as far as possible, however he called for self-care.

What are the meeting restrictions?
- Only a maximum of 5 people (in addition to those who live in the house) can meet indoors and a maximum of 10 people outdoors.
- Moving to a second home and interregional travel are prohibited.
- Permits are not valid during curfew hours.
