Valenzuela, who is still linked to the media with his Radio FM Style program, told Las Últimas Noticias that he decided to leave Santiago to experience a new stage in southern Chile, far from Santiago
“Now I started to value the simplest things. I started to go on vacation to the Austral highway camping, I like the countryside, “he said.
“This is the result of a dream, where I want to live my last stage of life without the problems of Santiago because I am in my 50s. The last 15 years I am going to live as I always wanted to live. This pandemic taught me that I have to try to be happy today. In 20 days I had an operation and started building. I hope the house is finished in February ”, he added.
The operation that Valenzuela underwent was a gastric bypass, because during his quarantine he gained a lot of weight.
“In the confinement I started eating and drinking, I was at 106 kilos. Illnesses were being added to me such as insulin resistance that had galloped me to diabetes in three or four months, hypertension and sleep apnea: I was snoring that brought the building down. So I had a gastric bypass. In 15 days I have lost 15 kilos ”, he pointed out.
“It may not be so noticeable for the rest, but I do notice it because I have already changed my size. I have 15 more to go down by the end of the year. I also did it because since I want to come to the south, I am going to be away from urban health centers, “he added.
Also, the former reporter took stock of television, making it clear that he has never looked for second opportunities in the industry.
“I am embarrassed when I see people crying on TV, because one has already earned enough money. It’s as if television had an obligation to keep them for life, “he concluded.
