The latest Epidemiological Report, corresponding to number 78, prepared by the Department of Health Statistics and Information (DEIS) revealed that 41 communes exceed 100 active cases and 12 of them are from the Metropolitan Region.
The communes that lead the indicator with more than 400 active cases are Puerto Montt, Punta Arenas, Concepción and Valdivia.
Refering to Metropolitan region (RM), the communes with figures of more than one hundred active cases are Puente Alto, Maipú, La Florida, Pudahuel, Las Condes, San Bernardo, Ñuñoa, Peñalolén, Lo Barnechea, Renca, El Bosque, Estación Central.

Regarding the highest cumulative incidence rates per 100 thousand inhabitants, according to laboratory-confirmed cases, they are found in the Magallanes Region (9,726.3), Tarapacá Region (4,469.2) and Metropolitan region (4,337.2).
The median age of confirmed reported cases is 38 years, where 6.68% corresponded to persons under 15 years of age, 24.49% to persons aged 15-29 years, 29.38% to persons aged 30-44 years, 28.53% to persons aged 45- 64 years, while the remaining 10.92% to adults 65 and over.
