Former model Amy Morris accused US President Donald Trump of sexually assaulting her during the 1997 US Open tennis tournament, telling his story in an interview published this Thursday by the newspaper The Guardian.
The attack allegedly occurred on September 5 of that year, when she was 24 years old, and the actress said it made her feel “sick” and “raped.” Trump would have approached her near the bathrooms of his VIP tribune during the championship played in New York, and held her so tight that she could not escape.
“He put his tongue down my throat, I pushed him,” says the victim, who adds that he later began to touch “her butt, breasts, back, everything.” She tried to slow down the advance of his tongue by biting hers, and thinks she could “hurt” him.
The Guardian details that, through his lawyers, the Republican leader, who in November is running for reelection in his country, has categorically denied having harassed, abused or misbehaved with Morris.
The former model has provided “evidence” of her version of events, including an entry to the US Open tennis tournament and six photos of her in New York with the real estate mogul, who was 51 years old at the time and married to his second wife, Marla Maples, the newspaper explains.
The newspaper adds that The testimony of Morris, 48, has also been corroborated by several people to whom she related the event.
The former model, mother of twins, says that she considered making the attack public in 2016, when other women reported harassment by Trumpbut he did not do so because he thought it would harm his family.
Now, on the other hand, she feels that she wants to be “a reference” for her girls, who, at almost 13 years old, must know that “no one should be allowed to do anything to you that you do not want.”
“I want you to see that I did not shut up, that I confronted someone who did something that was unacceptable”says Morris, who met Donald Trump through her then-boyfriend, Jason Binn, founder of several magazines and luxury brands.
