He Rancagua Guarantee Court decreed this Thursday the precautionary measure of total house arrest for a former Major of the Carabineros charged with the crimes of bribery and unjustified enrichment.
The official worked in the administrative area of the VI Carabineros Zone and was discharged after an internal audit. The institution itself filed a complaint with the Prosecutor’s Office last May, which started the case.

The court ordered an investigation period of 180 days, and the Public Prosecutor’s Office announced that it will appeal to the Court of Rancagua the precautionary measure resolved.
