The seremi of Health of the Valparaíso region, Francisco Álvarez, pointed out that they are gathering all the information regarding the graduation of the Mckay de Reñaca school, in the Valparaíso region, where students they celebrated their exit from high school with sparklers and fireworks, and without apparent sanitary measures.
In videos shared on social networks, you can see how students run through the establishment grass court with fire extinguishers, flares and other types of fireworks while the attorneys record and take photographs of the criticized celebration.
Regarding this case, the health authority of the Valparaíso region indicated that when institutions carry out this type of act must have approved sanitary protocols and respect them at all times during the ceremony.
Francisco Álvarez, recalled that the establishment is exposed to fines that in the worst case, can reach 50 million pesos.
At the time of the ceremony, the Viña del Mar commune was in phase three of the Step by Step Plan, and under these conditions, events are allowed with a maximum of 50 people in open spaces and 25 in closed spaces, being able to last a maximum of two hours.
Through a statement, the school said it categorically rejected the fact, calling it outrageous. In the document, it was pointed out that a summary was opened to investigate the origin of this initiative, which could have violated the rules of social distancing, while indicating that they gather information to know if it had implications that could have affected people.
