The morning of this Thursday the return of the first students to face-to-face classes in the Metropolitan region.
These are students of five establishments in Pirque: two high schools, Principal and El Llano; and three schools, Lo Arcaya, Santos Rubio Morales and San Juan.
This occurs amid criticism from the College of Teachers, who accused that the The decision was made without consulting the educational community and that the conditions are not yet met for students to return to classrooms.
In this regard, the mayor of Pirque, Cristián Balmaceda, assured that the return was took in conjunction with the directors of the establishments and stressed that it is voluntary.
The Minister of Health, Raúl Figueroa, in the company of the Undersecretary of Public Health, Paula Daza, and the communal chief, visited the premises of the Main High School to review the sanitary measures implemented to care for Third and Fourth Middle School students.

So far, only three students have arrived at the Santos Rubio and Lo Arcaya schools, and five at the Liceo Principal. At the Liceo El Llano, none have arrived.
In the middle of the opening, a representative arrived at the Lo Arcaya school to express her rejection of the opening, appealing to the risk of contagion for the teachers and cleaning staff.
On Monday, the Tabancura, Los Andes and Huelén and Cordillera schools in Las Condes will join.
For their part, 21 higher education schools have already started the process.
