A fire was reported a few minutes into the New Year in a house in San Bernardo, presumably due to the fall of a sparkler.

The incident occurred at the intersection of Yelcho with Marine Water, or where Firefighters work.

This incident joins others that occurred in the country due to the unauthorized launch of fireworks.

In the Alto Forestal sector of Viña del Mar, a grassland burning was recorded on Río San Pedro Street, while in Concepción a similar case was reported in Alonso de Rivera, near the Cerro La Pólvora footbridge.

To the north, in Iquique, the fire of two houses was reported near the intersection of La Tirana with Chipana, while in the extreme south of the country, in Punta Arenas, the fire of a house was registered in Cirujano Videla with Juan Salvo .
