The information is from Jaime Sepúlveda
A huge fire consumed the “Mi Casa” nursing home in Providencia this Thursday night.
The fire started around 11:00 p.m. in the structure located in Los Capitanes with Antonio Varas.
At least 16 firefighting units arrived to that place to control the flames that could be seen from various points of the capital’s commune.
As reported by the Citizen Security of Providencia to Radio Bío Bío, the seven elderly people who lived there managed to be evacuated.
Meanwhile, Gabriel Huerta, commander of the Santiago Fire Department, explained that the incident began in the back of the house, in an extension used for rooms.
“We do not have information on injured people,” he said.
