A structural fire is registered in the Ministro Zenteno street in the Santo Domingo de Valparaíso hill. The incident has affected at least five houses, according to preliminary information.
Through social networks, different users shared images of the fire and the smoke that has been seen from different sectors of the capital of the Fifth Region.
All the Valparaíso Fire Companies are working at the scene. Support has also been received from Viña del Mar.
In his Twitter account, Bomberos Valparaíso reported that “the fire is contained and without risk of spread. It remains partially controlled and the work of the units continues at the site. In charge of the emergency, Commander Mr. Rodrigo Romo Silva.”
Meanwhile, the Governor of Valparaíso, Gonzalo Le Dantec, declared that “preliminarily, at least five houses are affected. That is part of the count that will be carried out when the fire is extinguished. Carabineros is working precisely on the uprising who would have been affected. “
In his statements to Radio Vaparaíso, Le Dantec explained that “the Prosecutor’s order was that Labocar must carry out investigations to determine the cause and origin of the fire. Meanwhile, we continue to work together with personnel from the Municipality of Valparaíso, Carabineros and the Government in order to raise the records of all the people who would have been affected. “
