The opposition warned that it will reject the payroll of President Sebastián Piñera, entered the Senate to integrate the Council for Transparency (CPLT) and which includes DC Bernardo Navarrete and Natalia González.

The questions are focused on González and are related to his participation in Libertad y Desarrollo, a center that he could not abandon while serving on the Council, which for some is a conflict of interest.

The Senator of the Democratic Revolution, Juan Ignacio Latorre, confirmed his vote against and considered that the requirements to be part of the Council for Transparency should be increased.

Socialist Senator Rabindranath Quinteros also opted for changes in the entry requirements, in line with not being part of institutes or political centers.

The UDI senator, Luz Ebensperger, questioned whether they want to apply higher criteria in this current decision, when it was not done with previous candidates. He says the way is to move forward through a bill that is in Congress.

Already the current president of the Council for Transparency, Gloria de la Fuente, entered the debate and recalled that when she entered the instance, her relationship as president of Chile 21 ended, despite the absence of an explicit inability.

The scenario is complex, since La Moneda needs two-thirds of the senators in office, and with the preliminary accounts it would not have all the necessary votes.

The session was set for this Thursday, but was suspended, after President Piñera decided to withdraw the urgency of the discussion.
