A curious case has gone viral in Mexico in recent days, after a father forced his 16-year-old daughter to apologize for social networks after he found videos of her dancing “twerking” which he had posted on TikTok.
According to the newspaper El Universal, the incident occurred in Mexico City and the girl’s family published the record on social networks on March 7. Later it went viral.
In the video, the adolescent is seen in the company of her father, who makes her read a public apology, which was supposedly directed towards her friends, classmates at school and her family in general.
“This video I am recording for apologize to my family and friends for the photos and videos that I have been uploading in which I denigrate myself, I do this with all the shame because it was not the education that my parents taught me, ”said the young woman.
After that his father took the floor, who said: “And why do you do that kind of thing? Is that you, do those videos represent you in something? You are a girl from home, you do well in school, you don’t have to be showing your buttocks ”.
That video generated a lot of debate on social networks, since many people considered the father’s attitude correct, while others indicated that it had been a “public humiliation”.
“Minors do not have the right to the privacy of their communications, they should not have social networks and they are subject to the education of their parents. When he turns 18 it will be his problem, “said a user on Twitter.
“It was very good that the father corrected her in public, although I do not agree with some of the words he used in the video,” added another.
On the other hand, there were also people who described the father’s attitude as “macho”, adding that the situation could have been discussed in the private sphere.
“If wanting to take your daughter down a decent path is to be a chauvinist then every effort is wrong on the part of a father”, indicated a user.
