In hours tonight, three people died in a traffic accident occurred. The events occurred at kilometer 2, on the road to La Montaña in the municipality of Teno. Specifically Route J25. Through social networks, several users reported the events. Radio ADN points out that, according to preliminary information, the accident involved a car and a truck that collided head-on.
Initially, it was noted that the accident left 7 injured, three of whom died at the scene trapped inside the vehicles. The three victims would correspond to two male persons, and one female.
However, minutes later various local media publications, such as “La Voz de Curicó” speak of three deaths and at least six injured. It would be nine people in total, so far. The first to arrive at the scene of the accident to help the people were the Teno Firefighters. The injured were taken to the Curicó Hospital.
Traffic cut off
Traffic at the site is cut off by both tracks. At approximately 11:05 p.m., it was noted that the SIAT Carabineros team arrived at the scene. The causes of the incident are still unknown. There is also no information regarding the presence of alcohol or similar factors.
