Due to the great controversy generated by the blocking an access to Lake Colico, the protagonist family referred to the events and assured the taking of legal actions.
It’s about the Ortúzar Phillips family, owners of the road that is being claimed as public by residents of the Villa Nueva Esperanza sector, in the commune of Cunco.
They indicated that there is access to Colico Lake in the western sector about 150 meters of the road that the neighbors are claiming. They argue that they they are not forced to allow that entry.
The Ortuza family also assured that in the place there have been threats and violence from the people who come to claim this space, particularly from the leaders of this sector, indicating that they broke down gates that prevented access.
They added that the land was sold more than 40 years ago and included the roads that were inside, so they insist that these are their property and they are not required to open this space.
Finally, the family assured that they had already filed a complaint against the Mayor of Cunco, Alfonso Coke, in addition to councilors of the commune and that added to this legal action the leaders of the Defense of the Free Beaches.
