On April 18, the body of Christian Aravena (45), an engineer and radio worker who was a carrier of Covid-19, was found in his apartment.
The man, who had overcome testicular cancer and who also had asthma, presented symptoms related to coronavirus and was treated on April 9 at Cesfam No. 1 Ramón Corbalán Malgarejo.
Despite his symptoms, he was sent home to quarantine. After presenting respiratory problems, the man was attended by health personnel at his home, being helped by oxygen that allowed him to improve his condition. Despite this, on Thursday April 16 his condition worsened and the next day he did not answer calls.
His body was found by a cousin who, in the company of Carabineros, managed to enter his home.
María del Rosario Aravena, Christian’s sister, spoke on the program Bío Bío Express and mentioned that his relative was the victim of negligence. “It was enough to listen to him to know that he was not breathing well,” he said.
Legal actions
Meanwhile, Christian’s mother announced that “for now we do not rule out legal actions, but we will see that later.” In addition, he called on those with relatives with underlying diseases to demand hospitalization in cases of Covid-19.
