This Saturday, Europe held his last general council of the year. In the instance, more than 1,200 candidates were ratified for the municipal and governor elections and at the same time a list was presented with possible letters to the Constitutional Convention (CC).

As reported by the store this afternoon, the list has 152 names for the April 11 elections, which was prepared in part by former ministers Gonzalo Blumel (Interior) and Pauline Kantor (Sports).

Kantor appears as a possible candidate for the CC, together with Luz Poblete, general secretary of the party.

The party highlighted that gender parity prevails in the group, since it was composed 49.7% women and 50.3% men.

Added to this, a 54% of them are independent and another 15% belongs to indigenous peoples.

The search for candidates was carried out through the “Electoral committee of constituents”, which decided the representatives “based on various conclusions.”

Apart from Blumel and Kantor, Hernán Larraín Matte (former president), Ítalo Zunino (vice president) and Álvaro Williams also made the list.

At the event, Blumel took the opportunity to present the party proposal for the new Constitution.
