According to the figures available in the weekly report on Deaths from Covid-19 released this Saturday by the Ministry of Health, in Chile a total of 19,070 people have died from causes associated with the pandemic.
This total number of fatalities is broken down as follows: 14,207 correspond to confirmed deaths from coronavirus, while the remaining 4,863 are suspected cases.
Of the total deaths associated with the coronavirus, the largest number is concentrated in the Metropolitan Region, with 12,704 people who have lost their lives (9,847 confirmed by Covid-19 and 2,857 suspects).
Then, it is followed by the Valparaíso Region, with 1,579 deaths (1,057 confirmed by Covid-19 and 522 suspects).
All other regions have fewer than a thousand deaths linked to Covid-19.
