The Chamber of the Chamber of Deputies and Deputies approved the bulk of the articles of the 2021 public sector salary readjustment, with the indications presented by the Executive, and dispatched the project to the Senate.
The initiative was generally approved by the Corporation in the morning session on the basis of the constitutional mechanism of the “insistence” to which the Government appealed, and then passed to the Finance Commission for its analysis in particular.
In the process of this day, a bonus for the end of the conflict was incorporated for public officials, and that will be paid, at the latest, in January 2021.
For workers whose net remuneration is equal to or less than 721 thousand 187 pesos, the amount will be 97 thousand 657 pesos; while for those who receive a liquid remuneration that exceeds the previous margin and is equal to or less than two million pesos, it will be $ 48,301.
The text considers a differentiated readjustment, for officials whose gross salaries are equal to or less than two million pesos (the initial cut was one million 500 thousand pesos), the increase will be 2.7% (equivalent to the CPI accumulated in November ), thus reaching 90% of civil servants (previously it was 75%); while for those who exceed the mentioned income margin, the increase will be 0.8%.
Likewise, a “Covid-19 health emergency bonus” was included, which was agreed between the Treasury and the seven public health unions.
The aforementioned bond will be of 200 thousand pesos, not taxable, nor will it constitute income for any legal effect. The amount indicated will correspond to an ordinary working day of 44 hours a week and will be delivered proportionally, if this is less. It will be paid in a single installment, no later than January 2021, to about 200 thousand officials.
In addition, the delivery of a “User Treatment Voucher for Primary Health Care and Health Services” is considered. This benefit is supported by an agreement reached between the Government and five out of seven associations of health officials.
Similarly, a special monthly bonus of up to $ 45,000 is included that will be applied during the year 2021 for public workers affected by the monthly readjustment coverage, for incomes of up to $ 545,000 and who work full time. This benefit will also be applicable to assistant education personnel.
Additionally, an extraordinary bonus is provided for nurses, midwives, nurse-midwives, and other medical collaboration professionals who work in jobs that require 24-hour care in rotating shift systems. Along the same lines, a special assignment is established for professionals of the Legal Medical Service.
The project dispatched includes benefits for public officials, such as Christmas Bonus, National Holidays, Schooling Bonus and Holidays.
