Elliot Page, star of the film “Juno”, has announced through an open letter addressed to his fans that it is transgender.
Elliot, formerly known as Ellen page, published his reflections on the matter on social networks: “Hello friends, I want to share with you that I am trans, my pronouns are ‘he / they’ and my name is Elliot”, is read at the beginning of the letter.
“I feel lucky to be writing this. To be here. To have reached this moment in my life. I feel overwhelming gratitude for the incredible people who have supported me throughout this journey, ”he added.
“I cannot express how extraordinary it feels to finally love what I am (…). I have been endlessly inspired by many in the trans community. Thank you for your courage, your generosity and your incessant work to make this world a more inclusive and compassionate place, “he said.
On social media, Elliot’s message immediately went viral, while in the comments, messages of support multiplied in minutes.
