The former presidential candidate Eduardo Arts, stated that his community, the Communist Party-Proletarian Action, will present a list of candidates for the election of members of the Constitutional Convention next April.
For the occasion, the former presidential standard-bearer of the Patriotic Union and current secretary general of his party, also confirmed that the list of candidates will be launched together at the Revolutionary Left Movement, MIR, in order to get involved in the process that will draft a new Constitution.

Artés declared that they will seek to release what he described as “moorings” of the Constituent Convention that will take care of giving rise to the new Constitution, seeking to make it similar to a Constituent Assembly, which would give greater sovereignty to those who comprise it. “We are going to fight in the street and everywhere so that those moorings of the Convention are undone, but that is part of a general fight”, he pointed.
In addition, the leader of the PC (AP) commented that he does not refuse to run again for the Presidency of the Republic and confirmed that his community together with the MIR will present a candidacy in the following presidential elections.
