The Spanish group Dynamic duo, known to be the authors of the song “I will resist”, used their Twitter account to demand explanations from the Ministry of Education from Chile for the use of the subject in his recent and criticized campaign for the return to classes.

“Yes, they should have asked permission to at least change the lyrics.”, assured the band composed of Manuel de la Calva and Ramón Arcusa, responsible for the success launched in 1988.

The group also spoke of the fact that in the Mineduc act there could be “possible illegalities” and they were surprised that “in a ministry nobody has noticed.”

A misunderstanding

Hours after their claim, the Dynamic Duo used their Twitter account to clarify that the copyright process yes it was done by the Ministry of Education. “Due to a misunderstanding, we commented yesterday that we did not know anything about it. It is not like that, and everything is correct and legal. We regret the slip, “they said on the social network.

The Spanish team then indicated that they supported the campaign promoted by Mineduc and maintained that “We are proud that it serves to stimulate young Chilean students”.

“It has all the authorizations”

In turn, the Mineduc issued a brief statement where it clarified that the campaign has “all the authorizations of the author’s rights with change of letter”.
