Drivers and animalists staged an altercation that included shoving and insults when both groups met on the outskirts of the municipality of Viña del Mar, for different reasons related to victorious cars.

It all happened when the group “Victora for Viña” came to the municipality of the garden city, this to present a letter regarding the delay in the municipal management to convert the victorias cars into electric traction vehicles.

Barbara crichton, a spokeswoman for the aforementioned Movement, recounted what happened and said that the representative of the coachmen approached her with a violent attitude.


For its part, Marcelo larrondo, spokesman for the Cocheros de Viña del Mar, said that by the animal movement there were also attacks and insults. Larrondo added that they were upset because the municipality has not treated them.

Finally, Hernan Madariaga, who belongs to the movement a Victory for Viña and who was also involved in this fact, regretted the situation and said that they are not against victorious cars, but that their intention is to replace animal traction with an electric one.

The coachmen explained to La Radio that they do not agree with this solution, because according to them the electric traction system did not work in other countries, and the conversion to an electric mechanism affected the development of this trade.
