US President Donald Trump announced Thursday night that he and his wife Melania tested positive for coronavirus and that they began a quarantine process.

The information was confirmed by the president of the United States himself through his Twitter account.

“Tonight the First Lady and I tested positive for covid-19. We will immediately begin our quarantine and recovery process. We will get through this TOGETHER! ”He wrote.

The White House, meanwhile, specified that the president must cancel his campaign trip to Florida on Friday.

Trump will fulfill his “functions without interruption” during the quarantine, assured the government palace doctor.

As Trump himself had commented tonight, Hope Hicks, a close adviser, had recently contracted the virus.

The advisor was just aboard Air Force One with the president when she traveled to Cleveland, Ohio, on Tuesday to participate in the debate against Joe Biden.

He also traveled Wednesday with Trump to Minnesota for a campaign rally.
