Dino Gordillo was the guest of Martín Cárcamo last night in “From you to you”, the new talk show host of Channel 13.
At the appointment, the comedian reviewed his biography, his television career, and some of the hardest episodes of his personal life. For example, the complex family moments after the abuse suffered by two of his daughters.
Cárcamo and Gordillo began by talking about how they have passed the pandemic. “We have not worked for a year and a half. I’ve done two or three things, but nothing more. I have discovered things that I knew how to do but that nobody knew I could do, ”said the comedian.
“One day I went out to the fields and started getting plow discs. I made one, I made two, I made three, I started selling. And I’ve sold countless plow discs to make discs. I make them. I have a huge workshop. There I entertain myself. I do my things. I made my house, my plot, “he added.
When Martín asked him about his childhood, he immediately broke the comedian. Dino had five brothers and one died in an accident. His mom separated, and he believes her maternal family punished her for doing so. He also confessed that he does not have a relationship with his father; So much so that he once beat him when he came to collect a jacket, the day after his brother had died.
Beginning of his career
In the interview, he revealed that he got into the mood for “Get around the problem”. He worked at Telex Chile and one day there was a benefit event in which the folk group went to participate, and he “snuck in” saying that he was a comedian. He did an impromptu show and it went really well. There he realized that he had a gift.
Then it appeared in the “Come with me” when they went to the Eighth Region. He says that that night, Jorge Matute Johns was in the audience.
For a year, his dressing room was the bathroom of Channel 13’s studio 2, when he was already a regular guest on the “Pollo” Fuentes program. It was free.
One day, outside the Canal 13 studio, I was Gonzalo Bertran together with other people: “I go up to him and say: ‘Gonzalo, can I talk to you?’ ‘Yes’, he tells me. ‘My name is Dino Guzmán, and I’m a comedian from Concepción. When they met the next day, the director shook his hand and said: “I am going to open the first door for you, you will open the others.” He assures that it never failed him.
Their children
Dino has six children; three from first marriage. His partner Patricia had two from their previous engagement, and between the two of them they had one more. The first time he got married in 1980 and he was married for 15 years.
“At the beginning, everything was fine, like any relationship. But then some things happened that are personal, and I don’t want to tell them because I don’t want to hurt anyone. I am happy that my three children came to live with me, ”he said.
“My mother taught me never to lie, never to do things wrong. I never acted badly, I never left my children (…). I never poisoned my children against their mother, ”he said, but remembers that his eldest daughter did not want to see him. She changed her attitude with him when she grew up, and as a mother, she had an argument with her mother.
“What was happening with them was very serious. I can’t count it but they were at risk. That’s why I brought them ”Gordillo added.
Camila, one of his daughters, surprised him by changing her second surname to that of Dino’s current partner. In the program, she entered to talk with Martín and his father. “Separation from them is an issue in their relationship. I never missed my dad. There was a time when the subject of visits was more complex, so he would secretly go to see me at school, ”he said.
“I admire him. We have never lost sight of where my dad comes from, where our family comes from. Of everything he fought and of what he fights every day. Today it was more difficult for us because the drawbacks have not been, it still gives him forwards. We started selling. House by house selling fish and seafood. And that’s not why I’m going to be less or more. My dad always taught us that we can be up and the next day we can be down, but the values that they gave us are forever ”, he added.
His career and excesses
Then Martín and Dino moved to the barbecue area where the comedian taught the animator how to make a dial. He assured that it was ordered with his money: “I have never been cured, in my life. I don’t know what it’s like to be cured. I’ve never gotten into drugs. The next day I left at 8 in the morning to the University of Chile hospital to have my hair and urine tested. I sent the notarized exam to every morning, before they spoke. “

His friendship with Ricardo Montaner

“I took Antonia for 3 years. He welcomed us. Antonia sang the song with him. She called her entire production team to her suite to listen to her. He crawled with her. Since that date, I have a great friendship with Ricardo Montaner. I have a lot of affection for him, ”he said, showing images of Ricardo with his daughter.
Patricia and the difficult moments
Martin ushered in Patricia, Dino’s wife. They began to talk about the aortic dissection that the comedian suffered in 2020: “I don’t give pain to anyone.” He was life-threatening for 4 days.
They both agreed that the most difficult moment was what happened with their daughter Katherine.
Patricia related what happened in November 2017: “A taxi driver kidnapped her, took her to a vacant place, took her cell phone, tried to rape her, hit her. I think that at some point Cata must have hit him because the guy couldn’t follow her. But she was already all scratched, torn, with marked legs, with a combo in the eye. She started on tip and elbow and went under a barbed wire and ripped out through some bushes until she reached a company, where some guards. They called the Carabineros, us ”.
Dino added: “It didn’t destroy us, on the contrary, it made us all stronger. The Tasting gave me to understand that we did things well, in what sense, we did not help the Tasting at all, in legal terms. Everything she did. La Cata is an example for many women in this country. Here, he told an infidelity and made Dino cry again. “Cami also suffered abuse from her mother’s partner when she was little. We also had another experience. Two trials were made. Dino gave up on the first one because he found it to be very traumatic for the little girl. After a while, they told him that the judge at that time was gone and to do a new one with the same tests. After doing so, he won the tuition. He also revealed that he once met the first judge at the airport and rebuked her for the impotence of many years.
Camila rejoined the conversation, and gave permission for everything they spoke to air, because “I have nothing to hide. I think things have already passed, they were difficult. They marked many things in my person but with the support of my parents and my family, everything passes. I was lucky to have the family that I have, but you also learn that you can get ahead. I don’t have to hide it. I am not the one who has to hide, nor my sister, nor my father nor my mother, we did not do things wrong ”. With respect to Paty, Camila stated: “She was always my mom.”
