As expected, the sensitive images went viral on the internet and practically on all social networks, so the lawyer for the Maradona family, Fernando Burlando, announced a lawsuit against the platforms that echoed the photos.
“Neither Diego nor his entire family deserved the dirty, unworthy and dishonest treatment that social platforms gave to sensitive images for absolutely everyone. Furthermore, Burlando sent a message not only to Google, but also Facebook, Tiktok and Twitter, directly threatening them with legal action that will launch against them:

One of the employees who was photographed with Maradona’s body apologized, the other turned himself in to the police.
Finally, the lawyer took the time to thank the trans-Andean websites and newspapers for not having been part of the unacceptable dissemination of the photos of Diego Maradona’s corpse:
“In return, I must highlight the treatment and professional limits that the national journalistic media have had, which did not add themselves to the morbid task of insensitivity and lack of respect by displaying photos that provoke rejection of us all.
