The deputy of the Socialist Party, Daniella Cicardini, suffered a traffic accident while on his way to Congress on Route 68 from Santiago to Valparaíso.
According to the first antecedents, the parliamentarian would have ended up trapped between the irons for which the intervention of emergency teams was necessary, however, she remained conscious despite the impact.
The head of the bench of socialist deputies, Luis Rocafull, gave more information in dialogue with CNN Chile from Parliament, ensuring that the deputy “She was trapped in the vehicle (…) she was trapped by the irons”.
The parliamentarian indicated that the accident occurred at the exit of the Zapata Tunnel and that an ambulance took Deputy Cicardini to the Casablanca hospital to verify the severity of the injuries. However, he stressed that she is “calm.”
Specifically, the accident occurred at kilometer 55.9 of Route 68, at about 10:50 am this Monday.
Two deputies from the bench went to the health center to learn more about what happened. In the first instance, it was said that Cicardini was driving, which must be confirmed by the respective investigation.
