Through a brief statement published on his Facebook account, the parliamentarian announced his departure from the party.
“In recent days a set of complaints have been exposed in which I have been involved as a deputy, artist and person. Given these events, I have decided, with great regret, to resign from the Humanist Party in which I have been a member since its foundation, ”he says.
“With this decision I seek to avoid that the party and its militancy are affected and unity for the constituent process is compromised,” he added.
“I want to express my will to clarify this situation and my unrestricted commitment to the truth,” he concluded.
His decision was known hours after the Humanist Party (PH) inform that the National Coordination Team had requested the Supreme court the initiation of an investigative and sanctioning process against him.

“Given the seriousness of the events denounced, it has been requested that, if its veracity in the investigation is proven, the expulsion of Florcita Alarcón, who has made herself available to the investigation and currently maintains her membership suspended after her own request, be completed.” detailed the PH.
“As a feminist party, we respect the presumption of innocence of the parliamentarian, but we do not replicate the violent culture of cover-up”, emphasized the PH.
