Demonstrators gather and interrupt the traffic in the Alameda: they ask for Piñera’s resignation | National

A new day of demonstrations takes place this Monday afternoon in the center of Santiago – Metropolitan region. The participants call for the resignation of President Sebastián Piñera and the freedom of the prisoners for causes derived from the social outbreak.

The call came through social networks in rejection of the Government’s decision to enter a request to the Constitutional Court to stop the second withdrawal of 10%.

The protesters gathered outside the central house of the University of Chile and, as on previous occasions, they intended to advance towards the La Moneda Palace, which is protected by papal fences and police officers.

In the presence of the participants, the police performed peripherals to warn that the demonstration is not authorized to later act with the water-launching car.
